Popondetta Park Precinct

Welcome to the showcase of the “Popondetta Park Precinct” project, a transformative initiative aimed at creating a state-of-the-art sports and recreational hub for the NSW National Premier League Mount Druitt Town Rangers Football Club.

Project Overview:
The development includes the construction of a FIFA-compliant synthetic football field, stormwater harvesting infrastructure, netball courts, and enhanced amenities. Key features include:

  • Synthetic Football Field: A high-quality, FIFA-compliant synthetic turf field with earthworks, perimeter walls, and drainage for optimal playing conditions.
  • Stormwater Harvesting Scheme: Installation of a 450kL stormwater tank to support water conservation.
  • Natural Turf Area: A versatile natural turf space for community activities.
  • Landscaping and Amenities: Beautification works, including seating, drinking fountains, player shelters, and car park refurbishment.
  • Netball Court Reconstruction: The redevelopment of 15 competition-level netball courts.

The project overcame challenges through expert planning and innovative solutions, including sustainable stormwater management and synthetic turf technology. Upon completion, Popondetta Park will serve as a premier sports destination, promoting active lifestyles and contributing to the community’s social and environmental well-being.
